| Telecom Expense Management Industry Association TEMIA Establishes New Priorities |
|
TEMIA Executive Board has chartered two new committees to address its new priorities and it is actively recruiting new members to serve on these committees.
The Telecom Expense Management Industry Association (TEMIA) (http://www.temia.org), the authoritative voice for Telecom Expense Management TEM and Wireless Expense Management WEM, and Mobile Device Management MDM Solutions Providers recently met and set two new priorities, which it will work on over the next 12 months. These priorities include The Future of TEM and Carrier Outreach. TEMIA's Executive Board charters nine committees, which manage the work of the association. Most committees meet once a month by phone to advance the goals of the association through collaboration and dialog. Last year TEMIA's focus was the Ethics Code. With this initiative firmly established, TEMIA is ready to tackle some new priorities. The first new priority, concerns the future of TEM. Members feel that an industry trade association should monitor the market and future health. Another focus area for this committee will be to work with TEMIA members, analysts and enterprises to broaden the definition for TEM. The second priority is carrier outreach. Originally, this initiative began as carrier scorecards. Now the mandate is broader and more strategic. This committee shall identify different billing from carriers, establish standard measures for ratings and work with carriers to improve billing and procurement platforms. Another topic, IPO Readiness, Acquisitions and Funding did not receive enough support to become a top priority, but a new committee will focus on this area. One idea is to develop a listing of all announcements of TEM, WEM and MDM funding, mergers and acquisitions, the companies, estimates for acquisition price and other information based on what is publicly available. In addition, this committee will develop best practices and standards relating to IPO readiness and contracts. TEMIA's executive board is recruiting members to participate on these committees. It will also host a meeting in October to jump-start these committees and facilitate member participation.
