Voice Report's 2011 National Salary Survey Report Is Available
Voice Report is offering an exclusive market intelligence briefing with its 2011 National Salary Survey Report. It recently asked telecom and IT executives across dozens of industries nationwide to provide input regarding their salary, professional certifications, years of experience, education level, and many other key data points to gauge the compensation trends of telecom and IT professionals in the current economic climate. The survey responses reveal that compensation has been in a holding pattern from 2010 to 2011 in enterprises, though modest increases were evident in some organizations. While most salaries held steady or increased slightly amid the fragile economy (91%), actual salary decreases were scarce (3%).
Here are some interesting findings:
- 65% of respondents earn an annual base salary of between $75,000 and $149,999
- The financial (94%), manufacturing (84%) and health care (79%) industries greatest across-the-board increases between 2010 and 2011
- 10% of respondents have been promoted to new job responsibilities in the past year, and 65% of those were among the most experienced with between 10 and 49.9 years of experience
- 55% of respondents anticipated non-salary-based compensation by the end of 2011
- 69% of respondents said certifications had not helped them in their career advancement
