Joe Basili’s areas of focus for TEMIA include program management, recruiting new members, and advocacy of the association’s positions with the media and carriers. TEMIA programs focus on promoting industry knowledge through regular web casts, research to develop and promote unbiased industry best practices for enterprises and suppliers. His carrier advocacy work seeks to establish TEMIA at the forefront of industry changes that include service order automation, standardization of billing media, international TEM, and wireless mobility management. Joe brings experience in marketing, helping to launch and grow new businesses, and developing research for the TEM market. He has positive relationships with existing members, potential new members, and a deep understanding of the culture and issues of the TEM industry through his industry involvement working at a TEM company, developing TEM research at Aberdeen Group and AOTMP. Larry Foster is the Vice President and General Manager for PAETEC Software Corp. He has accumulated over 20 years experience managing and consulting for IT and telecommunications business operations. Larry started his career as researcher and electrical engineering instructor at Southern Illinois University. Larry moved to IT where he managed the university's enterprise network services along with their voice and data network business operations. Larry's is a recognized leader in business consultation with extensive experience improving IT Service Support and Service Delivery operations. Larry’s areas of expertise include operational assessments, business process automation, improving business intelligence and measuring organizational performance for IT Service Support and Service Delivery organizations. Larry has successfully applied the ITIL best practice principles to help optimize IT and telecommunication operations for several government agencies, higher education, healthcare and F1000 corporations. Shahram Sharif is Vice President of Global Strategy and Business Development for Anatole, a TEM solution provider headquartered in France. Over the past 12 years in Telecommunication technology and business, Shahram has been in various roles as technical consultancy, product management, business development and sales. Designing and selling complex telecom solutions to large multi-national enterprises and help them optimize their telecom environment has been his key focus area.
Shahram is the co-founder of Lucid, delivering TEM Consulting Services to multi-national enterprises based in Europe. Lucid is now a subsidiary of Anatole, serving customers with a full service portfolio including TEM Software (SaaS), Managed Services (BPO), and Consulting Services.
In addition to his role as the Managing Director of Lucid, Shahram is responsible for Anatole's global strategy and business development. Shahram holds a M.Sc. in Telecommunication Engineering from the Twente Technology University in The Netherlands. |
David C. Perdue's career in the telecommunications industry began in 1969 when he led the marketing efforts of one of the nation's first interconnect (a competitive telecom company) companies, Teleci, Inc. In March of 1972 he founded Telecommunications Systems of America, Inc. (TSA), a major regional interconnect company that engineered and installed the complete multi-million dollar communication system for Phillips Petroleum's North Sea oil drilling operation. Northern Telecom, Inc. (Nortel) purchased TSA in December of 1976, and Dave Perdue served as President of the Systems Division and later as Vice President, Advanced Planning, Business Communications Group. He was responsible for the strategic planning for the PABX U. S. operations of Nortel and chaired a task force to design the support and logistics for a nationwide distribution system involving two plants, numerous sales offices and five regional warehouses and support centers to support growth to $500 million in annual revenue.

Don Hobbs brings a diverse entrepreneurial background in the telecom industry, where he has served in executive positions for the past 10 years. In 2001, Don co-founded TelAssess, Inc., a consultancy focused on telecom sourcing, network design, auditing and reselling TEM software solutions. Realizing the growing importance of the TEM industry, and recognizing the significant trend toward outsourcing as the dominant TEM model, Don managed the January, 2005 merger of his rapidly growing firm with Advantage IQ, a leading outsource expense management provider in energy, telecom and waste categories. Don continues with Advantage IQ in the role of Product Director, responsible for all aspects of Advantage IQs ever-broadening telecom business services to over 100 clients. |
Chris Mezzatesta, Senior Vice President of Sales for Tangoe Inc., brings 20 years of telecom and telecom expense management (“TEM”) experience to the company. Chris spent the first twelve years of his career at TSR Wireless, which at the time, was the fourth largest paging carrier in the US, where he managed a sales force of 1,000 employees and was a member of a senior management team that increased company revenue from $30 million to $350 million in eight years. He later joined Teldata Control (now CPS) where he again built a record breaking sales team which pioneered the TEM Industry while growing annual company revenues to $42 million. Chris joined Tangoe in 2005 through the Traq/Tangoe merger and has lead Tangoe’s explosive growth from $12 million to $46 million in annual revenues in 3 years. Throughout his 8 year tenure in TEM, Chris has built industry leading sales teams which have closed over 650 TEM engagements including deals with more than 50% of the companies in the Fortune 500. In 2007, Chris was elected to the Board of TEMIA (the Telecom Expense Management Industry Association) and named PR Chairman of the Association. Chris received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland and an MBA in Strategic Management from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University |

John Perri is the founder and CEO of Comview. With more than 30 years experience as a telecommunications management entrepreneur, John is credited with having started three successful companies and for designing one of the first Call Accounting systems in 1973. He continues to remain at the forefront of innovation, having worked with literally thousands of customers, listening to their needs and creating solutions to solve them.
John was an active member of NATA (North American Telecommunications Association) one of the most successful telecom trade organizations and an early member of LISTNET (Long Island Software & Technology Network). He also served as Vice President of the Vendor Advisory Council of the STC (Society of Telecommunications Consultants). His board involvement with TEMIA is a natural extension of that history. |

Joe Chopek is an entrepreneur who has successfully built and sold a number of companies into the public market or to larger entities who have then entered the public arena including Blue Ridge Telephone a long distance IXC which was sold to a publicly traded company and Telemanagement Services, a billing software company which was sold to public company in 1996. He was founder and managing partner of Net Results Inc . which later merged with Communication Advisors, Inc. (CAI), to form the Net Results Group. Net Results Group recently combined with Avalon Technology to form Avalon Global Solutions. He is currently services as President of Avalon Global Solutions and is heavily involved in AGS’ growth strategies and other Mergers or Acquisitions.
